サドルショルダーリンキングは格別フラットで美しいです。
ラグランスリーブの変形といえるサドルショルダーは
肩と腕の境の角度が明確に分かります。
マックジョージの高い技術の証明です。
惜しむらくは両袖口近くに穴がありました。
左袖口より10センチ2.3×1.0センチの切れ穴
右袖口より18センチ1.3×1.8センチの切れ穴
同色系の毛糸でメリヤス編みを再現しています。
糸の太さと色が微妙に違い、ややゲージに乱れがありますが
ダメージが大きくならないようにリペアしています。
前身頃左脇12.5センチ裾より11センチ上に3ミリ、14センチ上に2ミリの茶色い変色
袖リブは折って着た様で袖リブに軽い変色がありますが
その他は虫喰いなどのダメージがなく弾力のあるとても良好な状態
織りネームはサイズ40ですが
やや小さめの編み上がりになっています、縮みではありません。
サイズ38とご理解ください。
放っておくとダメージが進行して着られなくなります。
あまりに惜しいセーターですのでリペアしました、
限定リペア一点物で往年の素晴らしいマックジョージシェットランドセーターです。
McGeorge's signature flat linking, the work of skilled artisans, is a testament to its exceptionally flat and beautiful saddle shoulder linking.
The saddle shoulder, a variation of the raglan sleeve,
clearly defines the angle where the shoulder meets the arm.
This is a testament to McGeorge's exceptional craftsmanship.
Unfortunately, there were holes near both cuffs.
A 2.3 x 1.0 cm hole 10 cm from the left cuff.
A 1.3 x 1.8 cm hole 18 cm from the right cuff.
The stockinette stitch is recreated using yarn of the same color.
The yarn thickness and color are slightly different, and the gauge is slightly irregular,
but the repairs have been made to minimize damage.
There is brown discoloration measuring 3mm at 12.5cm from the left side of the front, 11cm above the hem, and 2mm at 14cm above.
The sleeve ribbing appears to have been folded over, resulting in slight discoloration.
Otherwise, the sweater is in excellent condition with no damage such as moth bites and good elasticity.
The woven label says size 40,
but it was knitted slightly smaller than expected, and this is not due to shrinkage.
Please understand that it is size 38.
If left unattended, the damage will progress and the sweater will become unwearable.
This sweater was so precious that we had it repaired.
